Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CompSync platform (the “Service”), operated by Streamstage Productions Inc. (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CompSync provides software for dance competition registration, reservations, scheduling, tabulation, invoicing, and the capture and delivery of event media. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove functionality over time.
2. Accounts & eligibility
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Accounts are for organizational use by competition organizers and dance studios. If you register on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.
- You are responsible for obtaining any consents required to submit information about dancers, including minors, and event media.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access data belonging to studios, competitions, or tenants other than your own.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
- Attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the Service’s security or availability.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
4. Fees & payment
Certain features require payment. Fees, billing cadence, and any processing charges are as presented at the point of purchase or in your agreement with the competition organizer. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you also agree to the processor’s terms. Except as required by law, all fees are non-refundable and payments are final.
5. Your content & media
You and your organization retain ownership of the data and media you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service — including delivering event media to the authorized recipients you designate. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content and for having the rights and consents necessary to submit it.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; no other rights are granted.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Cloudflare, Vercel, Resend, Stripe, and Sentry). We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these providers, and your use of the Service may also be subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost, though we take reasonable measures to prevent loss.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim or CAD $10,000.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account using the in-app tools where available. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
